The initial concept of microwave steam pressure cooking technology was developed in Switzerland and represents a totally new approach in fresh prepared food and packaging. The packaging converts into a steam pressure cooker allowing us to control the cooking environment precisely.

Utilizing fresh, uncooked and par cooked components, consumers are able to cook wholesome and delicious tasting meals in two minutes! So in the same package the meat is juicy, the vegetables have a perfect bite, the pasta is al dente and the sauces are wonderfully smooth.

How it Works

The concept of "Steam Pressure Cooking Technology" means that in the first phase when the food is still cold the microwave energy penetrates deeply into the food and converts to heat instantaneously. The water content inside the food transforms into hot steam cooking the food inside out.

In the second phase, as the hot steam exits the food, it is captured and retained inside the SteamCuisine® package. As pressure then builds up the food gets cooked also from outside in literally cooking twice as fast as regular microwave cooking!

Fresh, not Reheated

SteamCuisine® starts with all natural fresh (uncooked) or par cooked raw foods with no additives, colors or preservatives. The product line consists of Harvest Vegetables Side Dishes (with flavored butters or sauce), vegetable entrees and complete gourmet meals with meat or seafood, vegetables, sauce and starch (pasta or rice) so that when you prepare them in your microwave, they are being cooked for the first time.

By contrast, frozen entrees and other "prepared refrigerated meals" are pre-cooked "leftovers" which are then reheated in the microwave. The result is a delicious, fresh tasting meal!
